Presentation title: Progress in super-resolution underwater acoustic imaging
Abstract: It is hard to further improve the underwater acoustic image resolution by using traditional imaging algorithms due to the influence of complicated marine environment and restricted acoustic imaging systems. Super-resolution image reconstruction methods are frontier methods in optical imaging and radar imaging which can be applied to underwater acoustic imaging and further increase the effective resolution for special circumstance. Currently, we take advantage of a priori knowledge about the sparsity of the targets and the noise probability distribution of the imaging signals to develop a sparse deconvolution algorithm that increase the resolution of the sparse targets effectively based on imaging sonar. Progress in super-resolution underwater acoustic imaging of our research group will be introduced. |
