Presentation title: A framework approach to strengthen higher education in the field of marine information and engineering (UOWC) systems
Abstract: It is to highlight that in Pakistan there is no single university which is offering Marine Information and Engineering program. Whereas in Pakistan’s development role of Marine Information, Engineering and Sciences has to be realized specially based on its geographical position for its ocean, blue economy, trade, defense etc.Keeping in view above, a collaborative effort between CUI and HEU was started in the field of Marine Information and Engineering by the College of Underwater Acoustic Engineering to strengthen scientific education and research. In this regard a reasonable progress has been made in terms of organization of CPMI Jointly organized by CUI and HEU, students exchange at CUI, involvement of CUI and HEU faculty in FIT conference organized by CUI, development of graduate curriculum and offering at CUI. In addition, establishment of UWA lab is in progress. To develop further “A framework approach to strengthen higher education in the field of Marine Information and Engineering” by HEU and implement at CUI, more deliberations and proper actions are required at fast pace.HEU can take lead to even set up its campus by starting its programs jointly with CUI. |
